The exciting new Spirit of America Band, under the direction of that master of talent, Buddy Clarke, brings a brand new concept to the American public in a totally different and dynamic fashion.

Take a musical journey with Buddy Clarke and his band...his talented musicians have over 60 years of brilliant artistry, starting with the days of Duke Ellington, and Tommy Dorsey. And let's not forget those wonderful days when Buddy was with the Glenn Miller orchestra as a drummer in that unforgettable band.

Some of his credits include (aside from drumming with the Glenn Miller Band!) are his band performances at top rated clubs like the Coconut Grove (Miami), Stardust Club (Jacksonville), Shoreham Hotel (Washington, D.C.), performances for two presidential affairs, a movie for Tri-Star Pictures and being awarded Businessman of the Year by the National Republican Congressional Committee.

Buddy Clarke's own Spirit of America Band is surely one of Hampton Roads best musical attractions...especially with the added touch of a female directing the band at show time!!

The band starts their show wearing tuxedos and playing music of the early 1940's and 50's, then after the break the band comes back as a standing show band playing music of the 1970's, 80's and even some of today's chart toppers!!

If requested, you will hear all time favorites from Natalie Cole, disco down with Donna Summer, get funky with some Motown tunes, boogie oogie oogie to songs from "Saturday Night Fever," ooh yes, and even the Godfather of Soul is included with James Brown's "I Feel Good."

You owe it to yourself to hear this variety band and their mixture of songs that will surely make you want to put on your dancing' shoes.
